    Epiphone Valve Jr Combo. 5 watt All Tube Modified for Clarity and Recording. Condition is "Seller refurbished". That's what I do so this being an excellent condition version 1 EVJ, I stiffened the power, added a SS rectifier to eliminate the inherent hum, added a half power input option on a switch, added a boost by pulling the gain knob but didn't label it, upgraded the in-circuit caps, added a 3-way tone options switch, added a master volume which changed the original volume to a gain control, corrected the bad engineering issues and added tube protection, added a negative feedback 3-way option toggle on the rear panel, add a triode/pentode option switch on the rear and changed out the output transformer to add power, clarity, and 8 ohm along with the 4 ohm out. Plug in to most cabinets. It sounds fantastic.Tapped in and made a line level out for a recording option or sending to the house gear. There is no hum or hiss. Very clear and much louder with controllable preamp gain. Brighter and more open. shipped tubes will be used and unnamed ECC83 and ECC84. All my work is shown. Any questions just ask.
